When the rain is pouring down On this little heart of mine And the prospect of a life is getting low I just think about the winters And I think about the times When I think about that old lonesome pine We blew in from Ontario In a Windstar just to find The yellow house that would become a home Kids were growing, spots were showing Moving all on down the line When I think about that old lonesome pine Why's it the best times that we had Are all the times we can't get back? And the rain keeps pouring down On this little heart of mine When I think about that old lonesome pine Now I'm living in a city Where the sun refuse to shine And the battle lines were drawn up long ago Tell my mother that I love her and I'll get along just fine When I think about that old lonesome pine

I've been trying All my life Just can't seem to Get it right Is there something in the water Is it something that I picked up on train Hey It's just another rainy day Feeling beat down And tired again Won't you help me my Good old friend But my friend can't stick around He's got business on the other side of town Hey It's just another rainy day Steam train running and Stops on time East coast cowboys who Sing in rhyme And I feel just like the freight train Slow and low and running out of steam Hey It's just another rainy day

Early morning rain fall by my bedside I keep that record spinning nice and slow Thinking on the love I had And the love that I let go Think of all the people I used to know Sunshine finds its way into my window Everyday it's getting hard to hide And if I eat today You could say that I'm okay These things take time just Like my momma said And there ain't enough water in the Hudson To wash away these lonely New York Blues It takes some time to realize You've got nothing left to lose Everybody's walking around and talking About their new version of paradise While I wrestle with myself I've got no trophies on my shelf Like a boy who's never gotten asked to dance And there ain't enough water in the Hudson To wash away these lonely New York Blues It takes some time to realize You've got nothing left to lose Early morning rain fall by my bedside Sunshine finds it's way through my window Thinking on the love I have And the love that I let go Think of all the people I used to know

My Marie 04:11
On the blacktop feet are pounding And the sun is coming up The lions den is crowded And the bell will soon be rung In another world just down the road Marie is waking up Another day she'll throw away Regretting what she's done It starts with sound stability Protection from the cold The interest that she earns Will serve her when she's old But it's true what they say You can't buy back the time you had All the time you spent convincing them that you were never sad Davey jones he has a locker And a picture on the door Of a girl he met in Paris When he was off in the war He searched the world all up and down In hopes to find his love Just to find that she was married To the drill commanders son So my Marie, would you please Let me know which way to go Leave a key under your doorstep Come and see me when you're home Cause I'm a man of little cents With a big old sense of pride Won't you let me through your window Won't you let me stay the night
5.
Everyday you're going every way And you hardly can settle down Pushing and pulling Rocking and rolling Burning up the streets of town But tonight I'm gonna make you mine again And as funny as it seems And the least I can do is Write a lullaby for T Every night You're getting caught in a fight And I know you can't do everything Shaking and aching Your hearts breaking Cause you can't get what you need But tonight I'm gonna make you mine again Cause your love is all I need And the least I can do is Write a lullaby for T Everyday you're going every way And you hardly can settle down Pushing and pulling Rocking and rolling Burning up the streets of town But tonight I'm gonna make you mine again And as funny as it seems And the least I can do is Write a lullaby for T

I don't care if we stay up all night And I don't care if we touch morning light Cause my heart is good But my back is breaking down These thoughts I have When you're not around My oh my it's summertime again Seasons change, old lovers turn to friends But the pace and space of life has worn me thin In a high-rise where I'm paying for my sins Limb from limb Limb from limb Don't cry if you don't see me again Cause I don't want to die alone A million miles from home Oh darling won't you take me home Tonight? There we were and here we are again Looking for the answers through their lens And my love for you runs purer than the streams But my mind is telling me it's all a dream Pickett lines and heartache on my mind They give you this but they won't give you the time To figure out which you're looking down These thoughts I have when you're not around Limb from limb Limb from limb Don't cry if you don't see me again Cause I don't want to die alone A million miles from home Oh darling won't you take me home Tonight?

It's alright if you Cannot stay I'm sure we'll meet again Another day And I know It's just the way it goes Later on Across the rubicon Lay down lady And help me sleep My hearts broken and Yours to keep Ain't it so It's just the way it goes Cause I'm gone Across the rubicon It's alright if you Cannot stay I'm sure we'll meet again Some other day Ain't it so It's just the way it goes Cause I'm gone Across the rubicon

Oh Lady, My Lady With hands soft as lace My eyes have grown weary The hour is late Oh angel of silence Quick from the start A thief in the night You've stolen my heart Oh Lady, My Lady I came when you called To clean up your kitchens And sweep up your halls Oh angel in white With your hands right as rain I hope that you always remember my name They came in the night with their horses and guns They promised their mothers No child be harmed But what grace is this At the mercy of men Who kill for their living And bury your dead Oh Lady, My lady With buildings of stone And eyes that shoot daggers Wherever you roam Lay down, lay down The sky full of stars Will ease all your troubles And pull them apart With hands made of ice And a heart lit a blaze We'll ride by the morning And rest in the shade Oh Lady, My Lady Please hear my call My true one and only Queen of my heart

I've been down I've been blue I've had days Where nothings new I can feel it now I hope you can feel it too Things have left Things have stayed But good times are on the way I've been down In the ditch Broken back Need a stitch I can see it now Oh I believe it's true Things have left Things have stayed But good times are on the way Midnight train Don't be late I've gotta see a woman For a date And her love is warm As a summer breeze Things have left Things have stayed But Good Times Are On The Way

about

Recorded July-December 2023 at Sky Studio, NYC

Music and lyrics by Noah Whiteside

Mixed and mastered by Dom Delore at Rainy Day Mastering Suite, Somerville MA.

"This album is all about change. You can hear it in the music. I was all over the place mentally at the time. One too many nights at the Pour House if you know what I mean. You can also hear that in the music a bit. That all said, I'm extremely proud of these songs. I feel like I was really able to get the sound that was in my head down on the tracks. And at the end of the day, that's all that matters. To me, anyways."
